Brooklyn Silva
MA, LMFTA
Brooklyn is a relational psychotherapist who works with couples, families, and individuals ages 16 and older. She offers a warm, thoughtful space for people seeking deeper self-understanding, healthier relationships, and meaningful change. Her work is especially supportive for those who feel stuck in familiar emotional patterns or are navigating identity questions, relationship challenges, or major life transitions.
Brooklyn specializes in helping clients work through shame, perfectionism, issues around control, relationship conflict, as well as complicated grief and loss. She approaches therapy with deep compassion for the ways people have learned to cope and collaborates with clients to develop new, more supportive ways of relating to themselves and others. Her goal is to help clients feel less burdened by old patterns and more connected to what helps them thrive.
A core focus of Brooklyn’s work is supporting individuals who struggle with shame and low self-esteem. Drawing on attachment theory, she helps clients understand how early relationships and environments have shaped their inner world. Together, she and her clients build emotional awareness, strengthen self-trust, and cultivate greater self-acceptance, making space for growth and resilience.
Brooklyn’s therapeutic style is insight-oriented, relational, and collaborative. She believes that meaningful change begins with understanding, and she carefully attunes to the therapeutic relationship as well as the dynamics present in her clients’ lives. Alongside deeper exploration, Brooklyn also offers practical tools to help clients manage stress and emotional symptoms in everyday life.
Brooklyn completed her clinical training at the University of San Diego’s COAMFTE-accredited Marriage and Family Therapy program, where she developed a strong foundation in family systems and attachment-based care. This training allows her to help clients understand long-standing emotional patterns while supporting them in creating more intentional, fulfilling ways of relating.
Outside the therapy room, Brooklyn enjoys climbing, backpacking, painting, knitting, and reading. She values creativity and time outdoors as grounding practices that help her stay present and energized—qualities she brings into her work with clients.
