Accepting New Clients

Ana works with adults living with grief, trauma, and chronic illness, experiences that are carried as much in the body as in the mind. A somatic, relationally oriented therapist, she attends to what the body holds alongside what is spoken, bringing embodied experience into the therapy relationship where it can begin to shift.

Ana believes healing happens in relationship, with self and with others. Because therapy is unique to each person, she works to co-create the experience with her clients rather than direct it, holding a deep respect for the resilience, wisdom, and capacities that live inside each person. She invites her clients to “hold the reins” in therapy, a position she finds especially important in a space that has not always been equally accessible or affirming.

Ana draws on existential, relational, and somatic frameworks: exploring questions of meaning and identity, looking closely at relational patterns, and paying attention to felt, bodily experience as it arises in the room. Her background in mindfulness-based movement shapes how she works: movement, breath, and the physical self are inseparable from emotional wellbeing, and she weaves somatic and mindfulness practices into talk therapy.

Ana is committed to practicing with cultural humility, acknowledging the ways power, oppression, and systemic forces shape our inner landscapes. A liberatory perspective is woven into how she shows up: she believes therapy should challenge harm rather than reproduce it, and she works to hold her clients’ full identities and contexts with care.

Ana is completing her master’s in existential-phenomenological psychology at Seattle University and sees clients at a reduced fee, supervised by our team and her school’s supervisors. Outside the therapy room, you might find her lifting heavy things, cuddling with her dog while rewatching a favorite show, dancing with friends, or reading by the lake.
