Accepting New Clients

Quinn is a relational psychotherapist working with individuals 16 and older, with a focus on people struggling with change and transition, anxiety, depression, trauma, and loss. She has a special interest in emerging adults meeting new challenges, and in adults seeking a deeper understanding of themselves. Many of Quinn’s clients enter therapy feeling that the tools they’ve relied on are no longer working in the face of a new issue, a new identity, or a new life stage. Quinn believes each person already possesses the inner wisdom needed to understand what comes next; her role is to support and empower clients as they move toward it.

Quinn’s clients often describe sessions as highly attuned, warm, and spacious. Her primary tool is the therapeutic relationship itself. She has witnessed the profound progress that happens when clients feel safe and held enough to take risks. She is practiced at picking up on subtleties, bringing what has remained out of awareness into focus, and creating space for new possibilities. She takes the work seriously while encouraging clients to bring their whole selves to it, humor included.

While Quinn primarily works from a relational psychodynamic lens, she tailors her approach to each individual, drawing from a range of frameworks. Before becoming a therapist she built a varied career across human services, nonprofit consulting, and high-growth startups. That experience honed her ability to establish trust across many kinds of rooms, and confirmed that she is most sustained when listening well and helping someone move forward.

Quinn holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Whitman College and a Master’s in Education from Seattle University, with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and substance use disorders. She engages in ongoing learning, consultation, and supervision, and is a member of several formal consultation groups.
